SFWA* Handgun Carry Permit Class on Saturday, June 29th, 2024

*SFWA operates solely on donations, and most students who attend graciously donate so that others may benefit from our "softer side of shooting" approach. Often, other for profit entities will sponsor SFWA courses.

SFWA "softer side of shooting" sensitive classes are in huge demand and fill up to capacity quickly. To assure a seat in the class of your choosing, we are offering "confirmed seats" for those who make an advance non-refundable donation of only $28 per person.

We sincerely wish that everyone who wants to attend our class has a chance to do so at your earliest convenience!

A few notables:

EACH person must register separately, and each person who registers must use a different (unique) email address. In other words, you cannot register two or more people using one email address.

If for any reason you can not attend and have a "confirmed seat", you may email us to attend an alternative class date, or transfer your confirmed seat to another person.

No firearms or ammuniton are allowed during the classroom time. You may leave your handgun and ammuniton locked in your car; or you can turn it in at the counter.

The RANGE/SHOOTING portion occurs the day of your class.

You must wear HIGH-NECKED SHIRTS/BLOUSES/TOPS as the empty casings, when ejected from the guns, fly up into the air and can find their way between your skin and clothing and (OUCH!) burn you. For the same reason, please DO NOT wear open-toed shoes (i.e., no sandals, flip-flops, etc.). You must wear THICK/LOOSE PANTS as the hot casings can be felt through tight pants (i.e., no leggings, yoga pants, etc.). Anyone dressed inappropriately may not participate and will lose their donation. The range requires that all students taking the carry course pay a $12 range fee on the day of the class to the range which includes your qualification target and eye and ear protection for use on the range during the class. The range is designed specifically for women and their families and you will love it!

Please bring a lunch and snacks (if needed) as the classroom portion time has increased. You will have breaks but there are no places to purchase food nearby.

We encourage ladies NOT to purchase a firearm until after attending the class as students will be exposed to a number of different styles and calibers of firearms which is priceless in firearm selection for concealed carry. Students may use SFWA firearms for qualification at the range at NO CHARGE. Ammunition may be purchased in advance or at the range. Please note that NO reloaded cartridges are allowed.
