This is an exclusive SFWA course that is extremely popular for the exact reasons you signed up to participate. So many women struggle to find the right gun and gear that works with their unique qualities and lifestyle while increasing the odds of prevailing in a self defense situation that may require the use of deadly force.
This course begins with a trip to gun shop and what you most likely will find when you arrive. Navigating a gun shop is often intimidating for many women for varying reasons; but you will get the behind-the-scenes perspective which will make the experience more comfortable and more successful for you!
Remember as you navigate this course . . . SFWA does not sell any guns or gear, and does not receive a commission from any of the manufacturers or sales outlets where the products are offered.
Further, to help make this extremely popular and important course available to those who cannot conveniently travel to our location, SFWA designed this ONLINE version for women nationwide in an easy to understand format featuring the added exclusive benefit of a live online question and answer session wherein you are able to review the course with an SFWA Master Certified Instructor to assure you get custom fit. Best of all, at a convenient time for you to get answers to any specific questions you may have! So, sit back with a note pad, a cup of java, juice or sparkling water and let's get started!
Simply sign in and select "Lesson One" from the DASHBOARD . . . thereafter you will be able to proceed from each lesson to the. next one upon completion. The first lesson includes a visit behind-the-scenes of a gun shop, so put on your shopping outfit and have fun!
Once you log out, you will sign in again and select the DASHBOARD menu tab. Select the next Lesson you have not completed and continue taking the course. You may log in and out as often as necessary so that you may complete the course within your own schedule requirements.

You will have the opportunity to answer the questions again. Our goal is that you should understand the elements that are important when selecting a gun and gear to defend yourself when seconds count and the use of deadly force is imminent. The quizzes are to help you confirm along the way that you understand each section before moving to the next subject. You will not FAIL the course.
The course is offered as a four-hour course but it is not a timed event. The actual time required to complete the course depends on you and you are not required to complete the course in a single sitting. Plus, you will preschedule a convenient time to meet with an instructor [via zoom or on the phone if necessary] to assure that you receive answers to any questions you may have after completing the online course portion. We typically reserve an hour-long question/answer time for you.
No worries! We send you a link that you will click to start your Instructor Review Session at the agreed upon convenient time. If you have any technical assistance needs, we will help you. Everyone enjoys the live virtual interaction with an instructor who is available to speak with you direct and answer your individual questions. You will too!
